SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed about the high variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services position created for intervention experiences a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to enable the servicing of all clients and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
